Program Guidance for Potential/Current Grantees
Program Profiles & Resource Pages
We are funding a variety of programs (online, hybrid, and in person) for interfaith families, people interested in conversion, and others who are new to Judaism. One of our priorities is marketing - we want our grantees to promote their programs using a variety of channels to widen the audience and bring in new people. We want NCEJ funds to enable an organization to expand their audience and increase attendance.
Interfaith / Intercultural Engagement
Connecting Interfaith Individuals to Judaism
Our primary objective is to help Judaism grow by increasing the number of Jews by Choice and helping those in interfaith marriages see the benefits of raising their children as Jews.
Introduction to Jewish Beliefs & Traditions
Fostering a Welcoming & Educational Pathway to Judaism
NCEJ funds programs worldwide that are geared towards people who do not identify as Jewish, to engage, educate, and help connect them with Judaism.
Holiday Programming
Celebrating and Connecting Newcomers to Jewish Life
NCEJ provides grants for holiday how-to workshops and experiential programs that help interfaith families and individuals exploring Judaism learn about holiday traditions.
Israel Engagement for Those Exploring Judaism
Engaging Individuals and Families with Israel
We will be increasing funding for programming that engages individuals and families with Israel. Our goal is to strengthen participants’ connections to both Judaism and Israel, for people on the periphery of Jewish life.
Supplementary Program Kits
Jewish Ritual/Celebration Boxes and Hands-on Activities
Grantees can combine virtual or hybrid programming with supplementary holiday or ritual boxes that are delivered to homes, picked up by participants, or downloaded after registration.
Marketing Gallery
Inspiration to Widen Your Audience
NCEJ reimburses some of the costs for graphic design and printing. We reimburse for digital and print marketing campaigns directly attributable to a specific program, as well as postcards, banners, and brochures.
